Getting on Google Places can be one of the easiest and fastest ways online to bring clients to your store and even bring more traffic to your website. When you talk about SEO, most of the time you have to hire someone to optimize your website and online brand in order to get your business found online, and it can still take months to see results. With Google places you can see results almost immediately.
All you have to do to get on Google Places is register with Google, enter in the code they send you, and optimize your account. If you enter all of your information promptly and thoroughly you will be able to be found not only Google Maps but Google as well! For instance, if someone is looking for a bakery in Chicago, Illinois, and they search for which in Google or on smartphone navigation searches, the store that you have registered on Google Places will be one of the stores that is shown in the search. Along with the address of your place and your hours of operation. If the specific area isn’t too full of course. You can’t expect to be the first search right away if there is 500 other bakeries in town but you will still be there. The more places your business is online, the better.
If you offer good services or products, people will hear about them. You are given the option to rate and speak about the places that you have been to and the service you received. So if you have the best baked goods in town, people will hear about them. It’s like the online word of mouth.
You are able to show off your store too with pictures, videos, directions, and you can even tell customers where they should park! You can list specials and the services and products that you have as well. Pretty much whatever you want to put about your business you can.
Did I mention that it’s free?! Go ahead and get started here!
And if you aren’t already, get on Yelp and Foursquare too!
